LOWE
There was a Ralph Lowe who was transported to Maryland as a servant in 1651. He was possibly the father of Robert Lowe, Charles Lowe, and/or Henry Lowe of early Somerset County.  Robert was in Somerset by 1680.  Edward Low died in 1702, and Charles Low died in 1703, as shown by the inventories of their estates.  Early Somerset County records show:

Ralph Lowe (c1685-1756) of Somerset Co. Ralph (Reafe, Rase) Lowe (Low, Loe) He was taxed in Manokin Hundred in 1725, and in Nanticoke Hundred 1730-1740. In 1734, a road was laid out "from the upper landing of Rewastico Creek by Ralph Lows where it intersects Quantico Road..."  He married about 1717 Rachel Hudson. (c1684)  His will in Stepney Parish, dated 25 Feb 1750/1 was proved 17 Mar 1756.  After Ralph's death, Rachel married Powell Pattey. George Low (1722/6-1778) lived in Somerset County.   His father's will written in 1751 specified that if he has no issue, his legacy falls to his brothers Hudson and Robert. George purchased Weavers Portion from George Pennewell on 12 Jan 1751. He married (first) Sarah Cotman, daughter of Ebenezar Cotman of Nanticoke Hundred on 29 Dec 1754 at Stepney Parish. Their children were christened at the same parish. George Low of Somerset County died 24 Dec 1778, and his widow Sophia was named administrator, and sons Nathan and Hudson (Hutson) listed as next of kin. Ebenezar Cotman's will lists his grandson Nathan Cotman, son of Sarah Cotman and George Low.

Nathan (Cotman) Lowe (1754-c1829) was born 14 Jan 1754 in Stepney Parish, Somerset County, Md, and baptized 19 Jan (Records of St Bartholomew's at Green Hill and St Mary's at Tyaskin, now in Wicomico  He   In 1773, Nathan and Abraham Low (or Lough, of unknown relation) received 400 acres at the mouth of Birchfield Run in Monongalia County, Virginia, now West Virginia, by right of settlement. And he received another 1,000 acres in 1776, by right of settlement, on the waters of Sandy Creek, Monongalia County, now Grant Township, Preston County, West Virginia. Nathan returned to Somerset County by June,1774, and had an account 1775-1778 at John Nelms store in Salisbury, Somerset County.  Nathan and Abraham Lowe are on the 1782 Tax List of Monongalia County, Virginia. [Abraham Low (c1752-1798) married Elizabeth Morgan, granddaughter of Morgan Morgan, who lived in the area now Berkeley County, WV, by 1727.]  Nathan Lowe is on the 1783 Somerset Maryland tax list owning 200 acres of Weatherless Adventure, that was willed to him by his grandfather Ebenezer Cotman in 1765 (now in Wicomico County).  Nathan and Mary Cottman sold the same 200 acres to John Anderson on 22 April 1784 (Colonial Families p.163). On 11 Oct 1784, Nathan Low was granted 388 acres on Laurel Run on the Waters of Sandy Creek in Monongalia County, Virginia, now Preston County, West Virginia, about a mile from the Pennsylvania border. (Dyers Index to Land Grants in West Virginia) This grant was apparently very close to the Maryland border, as Nathan seems to have lived in Allegheny County, MD, although he missed the Census of 1790. He immediately (1784) sold 196 acres of his grant to Sarah Townhill. Nathan's children, Sarah (1786) through Margaret (1793), were born in Maryland, according to the 1850 Census, and a History of McLean County, Illinois, said that Nathan (Jan 1791) was born at Ringgold Manor, near Hagerstown, and his mother's name Nancy.  None of that can be confirmed in Washington County. Nathan appeared in court in Alleghany County in April 1795-6. Then on 19 Apr 1799 Nathan Low of Allegheny County, MD sold the remaining 177 acres to Elijah Beall of Montgomery County, MD. This was probably the date the deed was recorded, as Nathan was appointed a constable in Mason County, Kentucky in January, 1798, and his daughter Mary was born 17 Feb 1798 in Kentucky. Their portion was separated off into Fleming County later the same year, and Nathan was taxed in Fleming County from 1798 to 1802. He appears on the 1810 tax list of Stokes Twp, Madison County, Ohio, in the portion which fell into Clark County when it was formed in 1817, taxed on 200 acres of land southeast of South Charleston..  Nathan and Mary, and their son Hudson and son-in-law Allen Turner sold their land in Clark County in September, 1827. The Census of 1830 seems to find Mary, widow of Nathan, living with son Hudson in Sangamon County, Illinois. Whether Nathan died before they left Ohio, on the way, or upon reaching Illinois, we may never know. He left no estate to administer. 

Six children of Nathan and Mary Low have been identified, and four others are implied by tax records.  1782 tax records of Monongalia Co, VA, indicate Nathan's household consisted of four whites.  1783 tax records of Somerset Co, MD, show 3 white males and 3 white females.  So it appears that Nathan had two sons and two daughters before Sarah in 1785.  And Mary might not have been his first wife, but was his wife by October, 1784.  We have found NO other documentation of this.

2. Hudson Low (1786-1862) married 10 Aug 1812 in Madison Co, Ohio to Mary Thompson. He purchased land in Sangamon Co, Illinois (now Corwin Township, Logan Co) 20 Oct 1823. He then married 29 Dec 1825 in Madison Co, Ohio, Rhoda Thompson (Harshman) (1810) and returned to Illinois by 1830. They moved by 1835 to Daviess County, Missouri. The Census of 1850 shows his wife as Badilla. Hudson died in 1862 in Harrison County, Missouri. (Harrison formed from Daviess 1845)  Not to be confused with Eli Hudson Lowe (c1790-1849) who married Sabina Hunt and lived in Adams County, Ohio.

They moved to Sangamon (now Logan) County, Illinois about 1827, buying 80 acres from the government 1 Nov 1830 on Salt Creek in what is now Corwin Township, Logan County, two miles east of what became Middleton. He sold that land 12 Apr 1832 to Allen Turner, then moved to southeast of Rainsville, Pine Township, Warren County, Indiana, in time to vote in November, 1832.
