James Hickman (1766-19 Apr 1841) m.5 Aug 1797 Elizabeth "Lizzie" Turner (23 Jul 1766 - 5 Jan 1835) Lived in Jefferson Co, TN, then moved to Caesar's Creek Township, Greene Co, Ohio, in 1807. They are buried in McDonald Cemetery, Stone Road, Xenia Township. Their tombstones read:

In the Census of 1880, their daughter Sarah, living in Green Co, Ohio, stated that she was born in Tennessee, her father in Georgia, and her mother in South Carolina.  Son George, living in Marion Co, Indiana, said he was born in Ohio and both of his parents in North Carolina.  Son James, living in Randolph Co, Indiana, said that he and both of his parents were all born in North Carolina.

William Hickman (8 June 1798TN - 25 Apr 1850) m.23 Sep 1817 Mary Lowe (21 Mar 1798KY - 6 Dec 1868) daughter of Nathan (d.1820) and Mary Low, Clark Co, Ohio. They lived first in Xenia Twp, Greene Co, Ohio in 1820, and moved to Sangamon County (now Corwin Twp, Logan County), Illinois, in 1827. He sold the land to his brother-in-law Allen Turner in 1832 and moved to Pine Township, Warren Co, Indiana, southeast of Rainsville. They are buried in Rainsville Cemetery
