Hans Groh (c.1688 - c.1750) emigrated from Wittgenstein, Westphalia, to Pennsylvania about 1726 and was naturalized in February 1728 at Conestoga. He held land in Bethel Twp, Lancaster Co, PA. He and Maria his wife had eight children:

4. Catherine Groh married Joseph Groff

8. Anna Groh married Abraham Wingard

Mathias Groh (c.1710 - 1771) lived in Bethel, Lancaster County, now Lebanon Co, PA, in 1743, obtaining a warrant for land on Swatara Creek in 1752. He married Anna Grove (c.1713)

Anna Grove was the daughter of Jacob Graff (c.1690-1730) who emigrated from Zurich, Switzerland, about 1726, and his first wife. Jacob then married Elizabeth, of Cocalico Twp, Lancaster Co.PA. By 1734, she remarried Valentine Miller.

2. Henry Groh (1735?) moved to Detroit 1793, thence to Thames River, Ontario
3. Abraham Groh (1738?-1797) married Maria widow of Jacob Shaeffer
4. Christian Groh (1740?-1811) married Barbara
5. Michael Groh (1742?)
6. Peter Groh (1744?-1819) married Maria
7. Elizabeth Groh (1746?) married Christian Stealey

10. Veronica "Franey" Groh (c.1752) married Paul Hamman

Veronica "Franey" Groh was born about 1752 and married Johann Paul Hammann (1745-1789) about 1775. She remarried to Christopher Lindamood, and died about 1832
